I like the blue, Austin, and I like the image altogether, the expression, the skin tone... I think it's a great work.

Though I am not his fan - I think you did a very good job with this portrait. I like the more profile view - and I think blue works well! Good job :)

Really nice Austin, captures the sincerity and determination of our president! Are we in a Obama collection together with similar patron?!

Hey Austin; great work. You may be interested to know that RED has been the long held traditional color of the democratic party up till the 2000 election. Apparently the major media outlets decided to reverse the color scheme because RED is often associated with communist, marxist, and tyrannical nations and this could hinder Americans affection for the liberal philosophy. By changing the associated color from red to blue, big media effectively made the Democratic party more aesthetically appealing to the psyche of the American populas. Interesting, isn't it? ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_states_and_blue_states )Keep up the great work.

Your Barack Obama portraits are good and best of all they sold. The ones I did are not for sale.
I do not like the flat blue background and the skin tones with it. Sorry. If someone was in such a blue environment there would be some interplay bounced light on his skin. But of course I believe in freedom from having to be true to realism. Having some experience painting Obama, I know that his left side is less perfect than his right. The left ear is noticeably larger and he has a mole on his cheek touching the nostril of his nose.
