This painting was much more challenging than I had anticipated, the gold leaf the paper and the leather were all a challenge for I haven't painted such things before. Another first for me was the layout. I don;t usually break the frame like this. It is a technique used by artists to indicate motion and energy, so since the word is living and powerful, I thought it would be appropriate.
